Elopement: Paris, France. Clare + Neil

Well, what a busy autumn I’ve been having here in Paris lately! The weather has been somewhat not so co-operative, so for all those future brides planning elopements in Paris next autumn (2014) something to think about, ie cute shawls and shrugs to keep warm in!

My fall elopement season started out with this fun loving couple from Australia in the beautiful Saint James Paris Hotel. The hotel is ideally located in the heart of Paris, not to mention super designer, chic and romantic. The bride wore a beautiful custom gown, which needed some last minute alterations, and the ambiance was finished of by the gentle sounds of a classical violinist.

The sweet couple and I had a very simple ceremony in their hotel room suite, due to the first autumn rains. They then enjoyed a nice photo opportunity outside the hotel gardens thanks to my super talented husband Brian from French Grey Photography.

Tips for future elopement couples heading got Paris, don’t stress too much about the ceremony location, because what I realised after Clare and Neil’s elopement is that a wedding officiant needs to be resourceful, optimistic and always prepared to help a bride get into her wedding dress, even if it means stitching her in!
