Sometimes you meet a couple that you just know you’re going to be friends with for life…..
This is exactly how I feel about Dominique and Jeremy. We first met on their trip to Paris a year ago, when Jeremy planned this surprise proposal shoot in Paris with Brian French Grey Photography A few short days after Jeremy had dropped onto one knee in Place de Voges, Dominique and Jeremy and I were drinking wine and discussing their imminent wedding in Paris!
Fast-forward one year later…The wedding images below are a testament of this friendship.
Dominique and I exchanged numerous emails during the past year about her wedding dreams, and as the guest list grew….we settled on a romantic wedding celebration in the historical rooms of the Shangri-La Hotel. We crafted a romantic and airy intimate wedding full of pastel coloured peonies, soft greens and gold accents. The swan peonies floral arrangement on the sweetheart table was a surprise to the couple from myself, a reference to the couples surname of Bird. Olive leaves were tossed onto the couple at the end of their intimate ceremony and the groom’s aunt serenaded the couple as they shared their first dance as husband and wife on the terrace overlooking the Eiffel Tower.

Take one dashing and stylish American groom, one stunning and confident Australian bride (enrobed in a beautiful Rue de Seine dress,) add one vintage swan vase and you have the makings of a very stylish and dreamy bohemian wedding in one of Paris’s oldest historical venues.
